Ida and the labyrinth of happiness

Ida is happy, at least whenever she can indulge her imagination and put her crazy ideas into practice. Newly arrived with her parents in a small town in southern Germany, Ida would actually like to make new friends, but instead she prefers to sell painted stones in her "shop of happiness", chat on her way to school with an elderly lady who is always smoking by the window or organise birthday parties for all her dolls. One day, when the most popular girls at school want to make friends with Ida, she spontaneously gets involved in the "real world" and realises that while popularity can be intoxicating, she is also increasingly losing access to her unique world. Fortunately, however, Ida's reflective mother, her creative class teacher Mrs Blum and her quirky Aunt Mathilde are there to make her feel that she shouldn't let anyone dissuade her on her personal path to happiness. And suddenly Ida has new, unique ideas again, such as opening up to a friendship without losing herself in the process or researching happiness and how best to bring it to people.

Nice to have you here

Because you're my best friend

Alex is shy. Actually, that wouldn't be such a big problem, but unfortunately he hardly has any friends because Markus prefers to play football and Benni is suddenly hanging out with the boys from fourth grade instead of him. When he receives Tony, a robot modelled on a human, as a present from his parents for his ninth birthday, he is initially not so keen on the idea of a robot being his friend. But Tony is great.

He listens to Alex, helps him with his homework and tells him exciting stories. When he even teaches him to dance, Alex gets more and more involved in a close relationship with him, as Tony seems to have everything you could ever dream of in a friend. He is also supposed to help him persuade his parents to enrol him in a dance school, as he has wanted to for so long. When there is a huge argument with them one day and they want to take Tony away from Alex again, he makes a momentous decision.
